Well, what can I say about the DF95 Global Championship at Fleetwood MYPBC? Lots I guess. It was a fantastic event which provided a great deal of racing and also a great deal of social, both of which were well needed on my part. Turns out my sailing was as expected and I didn’t do too well, having had little or no practice before the event. I did however win the drinking, by quite some margin!

It was great to see friends both old and new as well as the usual Fleetwood crew who put on an awesome show for the ten days we were there.

Anyhow, I’m back at base and we have been beavering away for the last two weeks to fulfill nearly all of the orders that came in whilst I was away. We are also working on all the orders that come in each day and are probably working on a 10 day lead time currently due to the spring bank holiday and schools half term holidays which are seeing the big boatyard being a little busier than it has been.

Other than that, all seems well. I busted my dad out of hospital a few weeks back and he is really enjoying being sat in the sunshine outside at home with my mum. His recovery seems to be coming along nicely too. The house is starting to take shape, the inside bit that was rather damp and broken is now looking much better, walls, floors, bathrooms and fresh plaster are a welcome sight. The extension bit is looking good, underfloor heating is in, concrete floor is in, some walls are up and we are on the way to seeing something like a house again. It’ll be a few months yet and I’m looking forward to a GnT on the new patio!

there have been a couple of rule changes in the DF classes, nothing that really makes much difference to anything that we do other than sail numbers. We will now be only offering one style of number for our DF65 sail numbers. As per our DF95 sail numbers you will need to let us know what suit you are ordering numbers for as the sizing and spacing are now a little different to how they have been previously.

A plus and A suits are the same, B and C are the same, there will be a drop down menu to allow you to make the choice. This will apply to the DF95 sail numbers too which will make the choices a little easier.

The other items that we will be listing is the DF65 and DF95 keel box patch, it’ll be made to the correct sizes and will be available shortly.

RC Laser spares are in process, stock will be added to the webshop when it arrives. I’ve somewhat dropped the ball on this recently due to a number of factors.
