Hi Folks, it’s been a while since I last posted and for that I apologise. I’ve been busy though and have fulfilled not one but three orders for RC Yachts who are now more than well stocked with our products. I’ve made nearly 200 suits of sails as well as 50 transmitter covers, nearly 100 rig bags, close on 1000 deck patch sets, numerous hull and deck sticker sets, number sheets and other goodies that we supply to RC Yachts.

Add to that the big boatyard firing on all cylinders during July and August with some awesome weather and one staff member down and as you can imagine it’s been just a bit busy. I’ve done just one sailing event over the summer, the DF95 Nationals which, to be honest, was a waste of my time but hey ho these things happen. I’m hoping to get out and about a bit over the next few months and try to remember how to do it!

So, with not much to report on the sailing side, and a whole heap of busy on the sailmaking and boatyard side it is nice to think that the balance of stuff might just be heading back towards doing some sailing as well as sailmaking with a little less boatyard involvement over the winter months.

To that end I have scheduled the online shop to start taking orders for sails again from Monday morning, that’s right folks, from Monday morning you’ll be able to place an order for any of our suits of sails and rig kits and anything else we have in stock. Delivery times should be pretty good as there is currently no backlog of work and we’ll aim to keep that just so.

We’ll also be close to restocking with RC Laser boats and spares after some waiting for supplies from overseas. As soon as the shipment arrives we’ll get all the items checked and restocked on the shop for you to order. I would expect this will be late next week. I took my eye off the ball with this one and whilst being busy sorting out relentless summer stuff I got delayed in ordering.

Other than that I think all is well, I’ve had a bit of a crappy year, having lost nearly a dozen good friends in the last 12 months my head has been in a bit of a strange place. Many of you have noticed that I haven’t been my usual self and I thank you all for noting this, it’s nice to know that people take an interest. Anyhow, I think I’ve got to the stage where my head is in a better space and I’ll build on that over the next few months by reconnecting with a good number of you at events.
